First Hill/Capitol Hill Drop-in Class

Please try our Monday evening class in West Seattle, Tuesday lunchtime meditation at the downtown YMCA, or classes at our temple in Ballard.

These two series of classes will provide an essential introduction to meditation and mindfulness. When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still a deep happiness and contentment arises from within. Everyone is welcome.

Series 1: $10 per class, or $40 for the series
Series 2: $10 per class, or $40 for the series

Meditation on Capitol Hill is taught by Buddhist monk Kelsang Donsang. Donsang is an engaging teacher and loves to share Buddhist teachings with others.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from this class? No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. The teachings are suitable for everyone, regardless of faith, background or experience.

Do I need to come to the entire series? No, each class is self contained and offered on a drop-in basis. Come to as many classes as you like.

What do I need to bring to class? If you wish to take notes, bring a pen and notepad.

How should I dress for class? Come as you are.
