THURSDAY JUNE 15, 7:00-8:30PM
“Just as I protect myself from anything unpleasant, however small, so should I act towards others with a compassionate and caring mind.” –Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life
Humans have incredible potential: to imagine and create works of utility and beauty, to cherish other living beings, and even to attain enlightenment. But, in spite of all of these amazing qualities, we also suffer from confusion, fear and selfishness. In this evening talk, visiting Buddhist teacher Gen Kelsang Rigpa will explain practical Buddhist approaches to conflict and chaos. We’ll learn how to keep our mind positive and happy all the time, ensuring that we can be of maximum benefit to others in times when society really needs it.
