International Kadampa Festivals are special courses held three times each year and are open to everyone. The Festivals include teachings and empowerments by the Spiritual Directors, reviews and meditations led by senior Teachers, chanted prayers and meditations and offering ceremonies, and retreats to consolidate and deepen your understanding and experience. Open to everyone, these International Festivals are a wonderful opportunity to meet with Buddhist practitioners from all over the world and share experience and understanding with them.
The Kadampa US Festival is held at the beautiful Kadampa temple in rural New York state in the Spring. This festival includes an empowerment with teachings, chanted prayers and meditations as well as time for retreat. There are also several regional Dharma Celebrations offered throughout the United States.
The Northwest Dharma Celebration, held here at KMC WA, is usually offered sometime in June and welcomes Kadampas from around the region for an empowerment, teachings, chanted prayers and meditations.
Spring and Summer International Festivals are held and the New Kadampa Tradition’s mother center (Manjushri KMC) in the Lake District of England.
International Fall Festival is held at a different location every year. The 2013 festival was near Lisbon, Portugal.
