Gen Kelsang Rinzin was ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2004 and taught at Heruka Buddhist Center in Fort Collins, Colorado for 15 years. He was appointed to the Resident Teacher position at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington and began teaching here in October 2020. Gen Rinzin communicates his love of Dharma with a down-to-earth approach and humor that helps the listener appreciate and understand the teachings and put them into practice. His teachings are clear and practical, making them easy to apply to modern life.

In addition to leading workshops, special events, and retreats at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington, Gen Rinzin teaches Introduction to Meditation and Buddhism on Monday evenings and Sunday morning Meditations for World Peace. He also leads the Teacher Training Program, a program of study for senior students.

Rob Lutz

Rob Lutz is widely admired for his love of sharing Buddha’s wisdom with people of all ages. He is a longtime Buddhist practitioner, a senior student in the Teacher Training Program and teaches the Foundation Program. He is known for his engaging, friendly teaching style. Rob substitutes for Monday Evening class when Gen Rinzin is unavailable and also guides many of the Saturday workshops at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington.
