Introduction to Buddhist Meditation

In this course, you will gain an understanding of the essential aspects of Buddhist meditation and a firsthand experience of this timeless Buddhist method of inner transformation. Buddhist meditation is a scientific method to improve our human nature. When practiced correctly, meditation increases the causes of happiness within our mind and reduces the causes of suffering. This course will examine precisely what Buddhist meditation is, Buddha's teachings on the nature of the mind, how meditation transforms the mind, and how to begin meditation practice.

Cecilia Watson

Cecilia has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over twenty years. Her love of Buddha's teachings inspires her to share these teachings with everyone. She wishes everyone to benefit from Buddha's teachings and transform their lives into peaceful, joyful states. She teaches meditation classes in the greater Eastside and the Bellevue College Continuing Education Program.
