Enjoy a silent weekend of meditation retreat, learning how to meditate on the clarity of your very own subtle mind according to Buddha’s Mahamudra teachings. Through training in this clear and joyful meditation on our root mind we gain the ability to easily pacify our mental disturbances and distractions, and we create powerful causes to experience deep and stable inner peace and concentration.
This retreat begins with a Friday evening introductory talk on how to meditate on the nature of our mind, clarity, according to the instructions in The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra. Kadam Trina will also explain how to engage in silent retreat. There will be opportunity for discussion and questions in the talk.
Because this is a silent concentration retreat, sessions are not drop-in. Participants should plan to attend the whole retreat.
The Saturday and Sunday retreat sessions will be in silence with gently guided meditation on the very subtle mind. Each session includes a very brief talk, prayers and succinct guided meditation with plenty of silence. The retreat ends after lunch on Sunday with a Q & A and group discussion with Kadam Trina.
Everyone is welcome. Accommodation is available for overnight stays during this retreat – space is limited, please register early.
The retreat sessions will be accompanied by the prayers The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra.
